Ifedayo Olarinde popularly known as Daddy Freeze, a controversial online personality and leader of Free The Sheeple Movement Church has again reacted against a proposal by a Catholic Bishop saying the government should deduct tithes from salaries of workers/employees and send to churches.
The Archbishop of Kampala Cyprian Kizito Lwanga in Uganda said that it was high time the government started deducting tithes from workers for the growth of the church, he shared this reminder while calling on the Ugandan government to start deducting tithe from their salaries.
Citizen Kenya reported that the clergy man complained that church projects are being affected because church members are unable to pay their tithes.
See what he said!
“Whenever we ask for tithe, everyone gives only what they have at that time. But the Bible says a tenth of whatever you earn belongs to the church.”
“Give me your support as I front this proposal because it is good for us. Aren’t you tired of putting money in the baskets all the time?”
As he continue, he said he wants the government to copy the Germans, he said that in Germany, the citizens who are registered as Catholics, Protestants or Jews have a church tax (Kirchensteuer) and 8-9 percent is removed from their annual income for the church.
He said, “I was told Germans made agreements with their government to deduct monthly tithe from their salaries and forward it to the church and this money they use to build and renovate their churches.”
Reacting to this, Daddy Freeze has been known as an online personality who don’t take it easy with pastors especially when the issue regards tithes took to his Instagram and called the Bishop a GOAT.
