On the 14th of September, President Buhari accepted the resignation of former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun.
In her resignation letter, Mrs. Adeosun said she didn’t know that her NYSC certificate was fake, Kemi Adeosun who was called out few months ago because of certificate forgery said that most of her visits in Nigeria before she clocked 34 years of age were on vacations, so she wasn’t aqainted with the NYSC process in Nigeria.
Before the release of her resignation letter, Nigerians both in diaspora and here were calling for Kemi’s prosecution but their feelings later changed when they found out she didn’t know her certificate was fake.
See Some Reactions Below!
Kemi Adeosun @nysc_ng issue speaks to a deeper challenge with our institutions. All cabinet Ministers are vetted by DSS. That the DSS missed such a basic check means our institutions Are Still Not Functioning as intended. I hope Govt has taken Notice & ensures institutions work!

Now that Kemi Adeosun has resigned, at least we can check certain issues up as touching the forged exemption letter issued to her.
To start with, stop hyperventilating, there’s nothing in @nysc_ng certificate of Exemption letter to be forged deliberately by her.#FakeDocuments 👇

If I were President Buhari, after reading the Kemi Adeosun letter & convinced it’s genuine, I’ll
1. Reject her resignation and retain her
2. Make the nation see reason how she was a victim of a corrupted system
3. Prosecute those whom she had trusted
4. Pardon her mistake

People get out of my mention. HM Kemi Adeosun said she did not know the certificate was fake. Investigation was completed, and it showed it was fake, and she did the right and honourable thing by resigning. That is what we know for sure.
