England advanced to Semi-final of the FlFA 2018 World Cup still on going in Russia as the trashed Sweden in the quarter final of the tournament by 2-0.
The match which was played in Samara Arena there in Russia, was viewed by 39,991 spectators and was officiated by Bjorn Kuipers of Netherlands. The Swedish coach Janne Andersson adopt a 4-4-2 formation which involved his first eleven squad while Gareth Southgate the English Coach applied a 3-5-2 formation. The match kicked off in the early 1st minute as Sweden passed the ball, at the 30th minute Harry Maguire recorded a header into the goal post of the Swedish which made it a 1-0 on the score board in the first half.
After the break time, the second half started as at the early 45th minute, at 59 minutes of the game Manchester United star Jesse Lingard crossed the ball and Dele Alli recored a header it became a 2-0.
The match ended in a 2-0 win as England advanced to the next level of the tournament.
