None of the African Team have won their matches until Senegal made Africa proud by defeating Poland in their opening game by 2 goals to 1. The match which took place in Spartak stadium in Russia was witnessed by 44,190 spectators. In group H which has Japan, Colombia, Senegal and Poland, Senegal became the second team to grab a 3 point the group H.
The Polish team, having Lewandoski as their key player and also a captain fail to meet up to the Polish fans expectation in their opening game. The match kicked-off, in the opening 12th minute Grzegorz Krychowiak was given a yellow card but at the 37th, an own goal was caused by Thiago Cionek, it recorded the first goal in the 45th minute of the game which put to score board a 1-0 in favour for Senegal.
60 minutes later, Mbaye Niang scored a wonderful goal which boosted the spirit of the game for Senegal, it became a 2-0 lead over the Polish team until at the 86th minute, Grzegorz Krychowiak recorded a wonderful goal with his head and it became a 2-1 on the score line.
After additional 5 minutes to the 90 minutes of play, Poland lost the match thereby loosing a 3 point to Senegal in their group.
