Things will improve in six months:
Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State Tuesday noted that things were gradually getting better for Nigeria, promising that within three to six months, things would have improved a lot for Nigerians, especially as the international price of crude has been improving.
Speaking at the prayer session organised for the country as well as the restoration of health of President Muhammadu Buhari held at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamadingba, Ibadan, the governor assured that within the next three to six months, things would have stabilised better.
Over 5,000 people including clerics and gospel artists converged to praise and pray for the nation’ s recovery from her economic doldrums, among them Apostle Sunday Popoola, of the Word Communication Ministriees (WOCOM) and Sheik Muhideen Ajani-Bello, a renown islamic preacher, who both enjoined the people not to lose faith in the country or the present political administration, but to make positive confessions at all times.
In his speech, Governor Ajimobi said: “This event is organised for three reasons. First, it is to appreciate God for all He has done for us so that He can do more. Secondly, we are here to seek God’s guidance as to how to lead this nation. And thirdly, it is to pray for the sound health of our President, Vice President, leaders of the National Assembly and all our leaders both at the National and state levels.
“I pray that the country will continue to progress. The prayer is not for President Buhari alone but for all of us as the leaders and the led. It is not fair for anybody to wish another person dead. Nigeria is getting better. The crude oil price has increased tremendously in the international market and I know for sure that within the next three to six months, things will have improved a lot more. Let us all just work more together.”
